beautiful garden sandy beach signed paperwork liability disclaimer
The gardens looked beautiful. Miles of sandy beach stretched out before me. fantastic restaurants served delicious food. the staff was friendly and courteous. serving iced water by the pool felt luxurious. Everyone had a friendly smile.
The hotel promised a great deal. Much was delivered. i booked the hotel's excursion to "james bond island" for a not insignificant fee. The paperwork stressed it was not cancellable. but i arrived at reception and received a disclaimer to sign exonerating the hotel from any liability.

service okay, but some issues need addressing
poor soundproofing limited privacy
The breakfast being available all day was acceptable. At least there wasn't a rush.
The noise was a real issue . I could hear neighbors talking and moving things. this was awkward when they were arguing. also, privacy was not great because gardeners and other guests were constantly walking past my villa.

the beachfront restaurant provided great food. i loved the fixed menu sample options. the service was good and everyone was very hospitable. they were all very proactive.
the hotel is surrounded by a large fence, facing backyards of neighboring hotels. you can see this when walking to the rooms. there are no green bushes to obscure the less than pleasant view. old furnishing with clearly visible signs of wear.

canned crab overcooked pizza
I found the food quality inconsistent, a real letdown. A couple of times after dinner and breakfast, I felt really sick. It just didn't measure up to other places I have been to. the Thai curry had canned crab instead of fresh crab, which seemed cheap for such an expensive hotel!!! The pizza was also overcooked and hard as a rock. I think they need to seriously improve the food.
